Gallery

I have finally thrifted most of my early images. I had them on display for several years to serve as a reminder that we all start somewhere.  I think the modern tools at our disposal, however, quite possibly make our first images considerably better than those of the last decade. This gallery is more selective, several of which are fully described in The Astrophotography Manual (third edition).

Displaying astrophotographs require good monitor calibration, especially regarding black levels. In the small image opposite, you should just be able to detect the 93% and 2% patch.
